This client's home is a "patio home" built in the 1970's and reflects a sort of AZ Southwest aesthetic of the time...some good and some not so good. The owner is fond of the high ceilings, stucco walls, red clay tile and rough wood textures but, not the dated kitchen and baths.
Baths, kitchen, bedrooms and GREAT ROOM finishes and furnishings were all changed and updated to contemporary taste (refined) but, with a nod to the past in the use of (rustic) natural stone look tile, knotty alder wood throughout and relaxed, natural feel and nubby textured fabrics.
