Guest Retreat for Modern Home

This older southwest stucco home with simple lines and avaunt garde' space use is in a very desirable Scottsdale neighborhood but, was due for a refresh and restyle fitting the owner's modern sensibilities and preferences. In the desert blending rustic and modern is always a challenge.

For stage one improvements, a rugged but, beautiful porcelain flooring was installed in a running bond pattern. The bathroom wall tile with a slight "vein cut" stone look was installed as shown with an black antique mirror accent tile. All 3 tiles are long term permanent materials meant to potentially repeat in other areas of the home in the future. Installation is with simplicity and finesse by the designer and a seasoned tile expert. The rugged but, quietly elegance finishes work well with the clean lines and minimal fuss aesthetic the owner prefers in his surroundings.

More of these materials and finishes to continue to other areas of the home in the near future as more whole property improvements evolve in the next few years. Happily accomplished now is this "guest suite" ready to comfort guests, visiting family or for the owners to use as improvement progress goes forward.
